Professor Walter Lewin. Professor Emeritus at MIT. Also called as the Professor who brings Physics to Life. Because... He is perhaps the only Professor of Physics, who is this passionate about the subject. One of his famous quotes, defines his passion to the maximum possible extent "Physics Works, and I'm still alive!"He doesn't mind risking his life for a lecture (he doesn't usually die), but an experiment cum demonstration like this one can go horribly wrong with just a tiny bit of extra force.

Professor Andrew Ng of the the Stanford Artificial Intelligence Lab. Although I had the opportunity of being taught by him in only 1 online course (Coursera) on Machine learning, I believe his way of teaching was so simplistic and devoid of any mathematical complexities that even a non-tech guy could have easily understood the basic concepts underlying machine learning and its real world applications. Over 1,00,000 students registered for the first iteration of the course. I truly came to appreciate the organisation of the course and wondered why cannot we be can be awarded with such purpose-oriented education in our universities.

UC Berkeley Professor of Anthropology Dr. Laura Nader was by far the best professor I ever had. It was she who distinguished for me justice, morality, and the law. She did a seminal study on conflict resolution among the native Zapotec people of Mexico in Oaxaca, and discovered that when ongoing relationships exist, conflict resolution improves with face-saving, and relationship-saving solutions. Similarly, she found that when there is no ongoing relationship, a win-lose outcome is more likely. Food for thought, especially in the area of law, justice, and conflict resolution. She deeply influenced me and many thousands of UC Berkeley students.
