试卷答案
1.One possible version:
Good morning, my dear friends!
I’m very glad to stand here to give you a speech about dreams. Of course, it is true that different persons have different dreams. A dream is like a light tower, showing the way when one is sailing on the sea. Without it, one may not know where he goes or even gets lost in life. So have a dream, and that really matters.
What is my dream? When I was a little child, I wanted to be a great judge and protect the rights of citizens. But as time goes by, things have changed, and so has my dream. Now I’ve decided to become a doctor, which can help reduce pain in patients or even save their lives. I believe the job is helpful and worth doing. But how to make it come true?
I know it is really a big challenge for me, though. Whatever it is, I will work hard and go all out for it. From now on I will spend more time learning my lessons, so that I can go to my ideal university. At the same time I am going to expose myself to books on medicine. I am sure I will achieve my dream. As a saying goes: If you can dream it, you can do it.
Thank you!

Jim, look at this funny picture. I think it tries to tell us that learning by doing is a good way to gain knowledge and solve problems. As we can see, a man is sitting at a table on which there is a plate full of Zongzi, a kind of Chinese traditional food for the Dragon Boat Festival, and a cup. Somehow it seems that he is at a loss to eat them. Believe it or not, he just finds a book on How to unwrap Zongzi and carefully reads it instead of trying himself. As students, we are learning by reading almost every day. It is true that books can tell us a lot and teach us how to deal with some problems. However, there are also some other ways of gaining knowledge, including the way of learning by doing. As the saying goes, “Jump in and get your feet wet ”. In my opinion, by trying and practicing, we can effectively acquire knowledge and remember it easily. Even sometimes we make mistakes, we can learn from them. So isn’t it better to try unwrapping these Zongzi than to read a book telling you how to do it?
4.One possible version:
Our class planned to organize an activity on March 5th , the day in memory of Lei Feng. The day before, we had had a class meeting to discuss what we would do. After a heated discussion, we had decided to go to a senior citizens home to do something for the elderly. On March 5th, we set out early in the morning. As soon as we got to the senior citizens home, we first did a thorough cleaning. Some swept and mopped the floor. Some cleaned the windows and the others did some washing. An hour later, the rooms in the senior citizens home looked clean and tidy and took on a new look. And then we were divided into two groups. One group gave wonderful performances that the elderly enjoyed a lot, the other group taught those who were interested in English some daily English expressions. All the elderly had a good time with us. When lunch time came we had to wave good-bye to them..
We’ve really learned a lot from what we did. We also realize that we can make ourselves useful to those who need help and care.
5.The Mid-Autumn Festival
The Mid-Autumn Festival falls on the 15th of the eighth month of our Chinese lunar calendar.
As one of the traditional Chinese festivals, it has been enjoying great popularity in our country. Usually, no matter how far away or how busy we are, we will try to come home for celebration. The moon that night looks the brightest in the whole lunar month. What we love most is the time we enjoy the full moon together. With the beautiful noon up in the sky, we sit together and eat moon cakes and fruit, sharing our stories. In addition to these traditional activities, we have a wider range of choices such as travelling and visiting our relatives or friends
6.One possible version:
There was a heated discussion in our class yesterday on the topic"Is it necessary to employ foreign teachers in middle schools?"Some students believe that some schools hire foreign teachers just to improve their reputation but actually it is not necessary at all. On the contrary, there is an opinion that foreign teachers can encourage the students to get more involved in English learning, especially in improving their oral skills.
In my opinion, foreign teachers are very necessary because today the students' oral English ability is becoming more and more important. With foreign teachers in our school, not only can we learn English from them, but also we can make friends with them and share our experiences. What's more,we can have lots of fun by communicating with them. k3s5u
Therefore,I believe schools can surely benefit from hiring foreign teachers.
