英语听力：刘翔!我们心中永远的冠军!

Liu Xiang experienced the most agonizing time on Tuesday when the Achilles injury that forced him out of the 110m hurdles heats in Beijing four years ago ended his London Olympics campaign.

刘翔于周二经历了最痛苦的时刻，因跟腱伤痛无缘参加4年前北京奥运110米栏预赛的刘翔征战伦敦奥运时再次因脚伤摔倒出局。

Feng Shuyong, head of the China Track and Field Administrative Center, said at a news briefing just after the heat that the initial diagnosis was that Liu had ruptured his Achilles tendon. The injury is the same one he had in Beijing.

中国田径运动管理中心主任冯树勇在预赛后的资讯发布会上说，初步症断为刘翔脚跟腱断裂，情况与北京奥运上遭遇的情况一样。

In the last several years he has had good medical care, but it has still bothered him. An Achilles injury is almost impossible to recover from fully. Feng said he didn’t expect the situation in the heat because over 90 percent of ruptures of the Achilles tendon have no sign.

过去几年，刘翔治疗情况良好，但是脚部伤痛仍然困扰着他。跟腱损伤几乎是不可能完全恢复的。冯树勇说，因为90%的跟腱损伤是没有任何征兆的，所以刘翔没有预见到脚伤会在预赛复发。

Before the London Games, Liu Xiang already made himself a sports and cultural icon in China.

在伦敦奥运会前，刘翔就已经成为中国体育和文化的标志性人物。

Liu Xiang was born on July 13, 1983 in Shanghai. His 2004 Olympic gold medal was the first in a men’s track and field event for China. He is the first Chinese athlete to achieve the triple crown of athletics: World Record Holder, World Champion and Olympic Champion.

刘翔生于1983年7月13日，在2004年雅典奥运上获得的金牌是中国在男子田径赛事上获得的第一块奖牌。他是中国首位获得“三冠王”的运动员：世界纪录保持者，世界冠军，奥运冠军。

In the 2008 Beijing Games, Liu withdrew from the 110 meter hurdle due to an injury in his right achilles tendon. In 2009 and 2011, he recovered from the injury. In the 2011 IAAF Diamond League, Liu Xiang defeated David Oliver with a world-leading mark of 13.07 seconds, which marked his return to a world class level.

2008北京奥运，刘翔因为右脚跟腱损伤退出110米栏比赛。2009年-2011年，刘翔脚伤恢复。在2011年的国际田联钻石联赛上，刘翔以13.07秒的世界领先成绩打败大卫-奥列佛，这也意味着刘翔已恢复到世界一流水平。

In 2012, Liu Xiang won at the Prefontaine Classic with 12.87 seconds, albeit with wind-assistance of 2.4 meters per second.

2012年，刘翔以12.87秒的成绩在普里方腾田径大奖赛上夺冠，相当于每秒2.4米。
