  Hello, everyone!

My topic today is about increasing our security awareness when travelling. As you all know, several college students is reported to have lost touch with their family when travelling. Some have been hurt both mentally and physically or even killed. Increasing our security awareness is important as well as urgent now.

From my point of view, first of all, when we are outing, we should tell our family where are heading for so that our family know where to find us in emergency. Secondly, we’d better take public transport with more people; if we have to take a taxi, be sure to take a legal one. Finally, avoid aggressive behavior. When running into something emergent, be sure to keep calm. Call the police if necessary.

The world is complex, and risk lies everywhere. What we can do is to keep an eye around and keep calm. May everybody be safe and happy!

That’s all. Thank you for your listening.

fail to do sth. Manage to do sth表示成功地做了某事,try to do sth, intend to do sth表示尽力做某事,打算做某事。

however然而,therefore因此,thus这样,besides此外。

But the reward for heroic action and compensation(补偿) for the losses that people cause in the process are two different things, says Dong …, the compensation for the loss of his sheep and the rewards for his heroic deed should be calculated separately.

They face decades of declining expectation before hitting their lowest point in their mid-fifties, when regrets over unrealized dreams are at their greatest可知55岁左右的人期望值达到最低,而就未实现的梦想的后悔达到最高,因而选C。

Those aged 68 underestimate their future happiness by 4.5 per cent,可知68岁的人低估了他们的未来幸福指数4.5个百分点,即他们预测他们会更加的不快乐,因而不会面对更多的失望,所以对现在的生活乐观。

由第一段,第二段内容a policy of “censor(审查) first, broadcast later”, online companies will have to employ government-approved censors to check content and obtain a censorship license可知需要取得许可证,所以选B。

Until now, streamed content has been shown outside of the normal censorship system,

Purchased content will be treated the same as self-produced content为错误;根据倒数第三段内容need to check the identities of the people or organizations who upload the video and audio programs to their websites可知需要核对身份,也就是并不是能自由下载了,所以C项正确。

Like everywhere in America’s Sun Belt, the Alabama city seems to have a chain restaurant on every corner.

The House that Never Dies引入讲述人们为寻找恐怖电影中的恐怖刺激感觉去参观电影拍摄现场的破旧房子,并据此展开讨论,因而D项更能反映本文内容。

  Text 1

W: Jim, what do you want for breakfast, bread or pancakes?

M: I’d like something else for a change. Can I have some dumplings, Mum?

  Text 2

W:Paul passed physics even though he hardly did any work.

M:How he managed that is a mystery to me. I thought the course was extremely difficult.

  Text 3

M: I’d like two tickets, please.

  W: Where to?

  M: To Shanghai.

  W: That’s 1500 yuan.

  Text 4

M:Don't you think Tom and Peter are telling the truth?

W:It doesn't seem likely. It would be hard to write two articles so much alike if one of them didn’t copy from the other.

  Text 5

W: Will you go to the party with me this weekend?

M: I’d love to, but I am leaving for the countryside.

W: What are you going to do?

M: Nothing important. Well, I have changed my mind. There is no need to go now.

  Text 6

  W: What happened to you?

M: I had a little accident at the game today. I just pulled a muscle in my back.

W: Little accident? You’re obviously in pain! Six months ago, you broke your leg! Remember? And you’re still recovering from the ankle injury from three weeks ago. Don’t you think you should sit out of the team?

M: But those aren’t serious injuries. They’re just part of playing sports.

W: But you are no longer a 20-year-old.

M: Hey! I am still in perfect physical condition. Don’t try to tell me I’m getting old just because I get injuries now and then.

W: I’m not saying you are getting old, dear. I just worry that you can’t sit, stand or lie down comfortably.

  M: Who says I can’t...Ow!

  Text 7

W: Daddy, what’s next? What else do we do now?

M: There is a man-made fishing pond nearby. So, what do you think of going fishing there?

W: Great. Let’s go. Where is it?

M: Patience, my little princess. A watched pot never boils. We shall get out fishing stuff first and make some baits, too.

W: We have many cookies left here. Can we use them as baits?

M: I don’t think fish would like them. Instead, they love earth worms.

W: So let’s go and catch earth worms.

M: OK. I think that’s enough for today. Let’s go.

W: Daddy, do you think we’re going to catch any fish today? We’ve been fishing here for more than two hours and we get nothing.

M: That’s because you’re talking to me all the time. Be patient, or there will be no chance to catch fish today.

  Text 8

  M:Excuse me.

  W:Yes?

  M:Have you been here long?

  W:About 45 minutes. I've moved forward a total of about 3 feet.

  M:You're kidding.

W:Not at all. A couple just ahead of me waited for one hour and finally gave up.

M:Does anyone know what's causing the delay?

W:There just aren't enough people selling tickets this afternoon.

M:I guess I should have come before lunch.

W:The same thing would have happened because a lot of people have been looking forward to this concert for a long time.

  M:You're probably right.

  Text 9

W: Excuse me, sir. I believe this is your wallet. You dropped it on the floor.

M: Oh, my goodness! I can’t believe I did that! Thank you so much, madam! How can I ever repay you?

W: Oh, it’s nothing really. Just trying to help out a fellow traveler. I’m sure you would have done the same for me.

M: Well, you must at least allow me to buy you a cup of coffee in the dining car.

W: It’s really alright. I don’t want to trouble you.

  M: No, no. I insist!

W: Well, now that you mention it, I am a bit thirsty. And I just love having coffee on the train!

M: So do I! By the way, my name is Robert Benson.

W: It’s a pleasure to meet you, Mr. Benson. My name is Emily Richardson.

  Text 10

  Ladies and gentlemen,

Welcome to“English Salon”. Today we'll focus on our children, especially their health.

Experts say that students usually need eight to ten hours of sleep at night, but most Chinese students don't get that much. Some Chinese parents are usually happy to see their children studying late. It makes them think that their children work very hard. But not all parents are happy about this. Once a mother told us that every morning her 10yearold boy puts up one finger with his eyes still closed, begging for one more minute of sleep. Like thousands of student“early birds”in China,he has to get up before six every morning.

A report shows that without a good night's sleep, students seem to be weaker than they should be. Many students have fallen asleep during class at one time or another. Too much homework is not the only reason why students stay up late. Some watch TV or play computer games late into the night.

Experts have said that students should develop good study habits, and some clever students never study late. They are able to work well in class.
