应该适当注重中文学习 Due Attention Should Be Given to the Study of Chinese

With the fast development of China, Chinesehas been a popular language in foreign countries. However, many students incampus have neglected the importance of Chinese in some ways.

随着中国的快速发展，汉语在外国已经成为一门受欢迎的语言。然而，很多在校学生忽视了汉语的重要性。

Many factors can account for thissituation. In the first place, foreign language has increasingly become anecessary skill in many work areas. As a result, in order to hunt a good job,most students have to pay much more attention to learning foreign language thanlearning Chinese. Moreover, many universities have marginalized the importance of learning Chinese. Consequently,students have less opportunity to get in touch with the Chinese and Chineseculture. Due to this ignorance for Chinese, the study of Chinese is on the decline.

导致这一情况的因素有很多。首先，外语在很多工作领域已经逐渐成为了一项必要技能。因而，为了找到好工作，大部分的学生更注重学习外语而不是汉语。而且，很多大学已经忽视了学习汉语的重要性。结果，学生们有更少的机会去接触中文和中国文化。由于对汉语的这一忽视，学习汉语的人正在减少。

In view of this situation, some effectivemeasures should be taken at once. For one thing, the government and otherrelated organizations should give publicity to the importance of learning Chineseso that more and more people and the next generation can understand. For another,university should continue to develop the Chinese course and provide various chancesfor students to study Chinese. Finally, as the future of our motherland, weshould make some contributions to spread our language and culture.

就这种情况来看，我们应该马上采取一些有效的措施。一方面，政府及其他相关组织应该宣传学习汉语的重要性，让更多人和下一代能够理解。另一方面，大学应该继续开设汉语课程，给学生提供多种学习汉语的机会。最后，作为祖国的未来，我们应该为传播语言和文化做些贡献。

All in all, due attention should be givento the study of Chinese.

总之，应该适当注重汉语学习。
