Ronaldinho Gaucho officially signed a 42-month contract with Flamengo on Tuesday, and Flamengo head coach Vanderlei Luxemburgo called the player's acquisition the best deal ever in the history of Brazilian soccer.

Ronaldinho signed the contract inside a restaurant in the city of Rio de Janeiro. Hundreds of miles away in the city of Londrina, Parana, the Flamengo soccer team was undergoing their pre-season workout.

Luxemburgo talked about Ronaldinho's arrival for the first time during the workout.

Despite the apparent "auction" that was created among interested teams in Brazil, Luxemburgo praised Flamengo's administration and described its behavior as correct. The coach did not hesitate to say that the player's acquisition is the biggest and best deal ever in Brazil.

Luxemburgo added his excitement with the addition of midfielder Thiago Neves.
