Struggling record champion Bayern Munich shared points with Hamburg after an unspectacular goalless draw in Bundesliga on Friday.

Hamburg started motivated and offensively minded in front of home crowd against the injury-hit Munich.

Hamburg controlled the match for long periods whereas the Bavarians staged poor passing through out the match.

Hamburg midfielder Jonathan Pitroipa had the golden chance to score the winner at the 81st minute after a one on one against Bayern goalkeeper Hans Joerg Butt. Nonetheless Pitroipa rattled the right post from close distance to waste the chance for a last minute victory.

Bayern sits on 9th position, still behind their standards and with a nine-point gap to the top of the standings whereas Hamburg occupies 4th position with a six point gap to first position.
