Olympic Champion He Chong won the men's three-meter springboard gold here in the China Star Diving Series on Saturday.

As a diver from Guangdong team, the 23-year-old He performed well during the first six dives and finally won the title with 99.45 points, never leaving any chance to other rivals on the springboard.

His team member Wu Minghong got silver with 94.50 points and Lin Jin came third with 91.80.

As a rising diving star of China, He won the men's 3m springboard gold medal in Beijing Olympic Games and the Diving Grand Prix in Canada in 2008.

The two-day Diving Series kicked off in Wuhan city on Saturday. It features four events, the 3m springboard and 10m platform for men and women, attracting many Chinese diving stars from the national team.

All the divers in this tournament are top eight from the 2010 Diving National Championships and the Olympic Games, or the athletes from the 2010 FINA Diving Grand Prix, according to the swimming administrative center of the State General Administration of Sport.
