体坛英语资讯：World No. 1 Nadal battles into Wimbledon final

 World number one Rafael Nadal conquered British top player Andy Murray in straight sets to reach the final at the Wimbledon Championships on Friday.

The Spaniard grabbed the opening set comfortably 6-4 then showed great nerve by saving one set point before winning the tiebreak 8-6 in the second set.

The fourth seed Murray managed to break Nadal in the first game of the third set, but collapsed after Nadal broke back to tie at 4-4. The 2008 Wimbledon champion then wrapped it up 6-4, reaching the final of the grass-court Grand Slam tournament for the fourth time.

"For me it's an amazing day, very important victory for me," said Nadal. "The opponent was playing well and I really needed to play my best tennis to try to win."

The 24-year-old Nadal will face Tomas Berdych of Czech Republic as the giant killer seeing off the world number three 6-3, 7-6 (11-9) and 6-3.

Berdych broke Djokovic in the sixth game, then took the opening set easily after 33 minutes.

In the second set, the 12th seed broke again in the ninth game but failed to stop an aggressive Djokovic breaking back in the 12th game. But the French Open semifinalist managed to dominate the tiebreak later, winning it 11-9 with Djokovic's double faults.

The third set also finished with Djokovic's eighth double faults in the whole match.

"I felt quite tired since the morning, but then all of a sudden just came on court, feel great and just win it in three sets," said Berdych who knocked out defending champion Roger Federer in the quarterfinals on Wednesday,then reached a Grand Slam final for the first time on Friday.

"So far I"m playing well, quite well here. Of course there is one more match to go, so just need to bring all what I have to that Sunday match," said the 24-year-old Berdych.
