England goalkeeper Robert Green promised to bounce back after his fatal mistake had cost England the win in Group C opener at the 2010 World Cup finals.
England led 1-0 when Green allowed Clint Dempsey's harmless shot to slip through his fingers and roll into the net.
But Green insisted he has put the error behind him already. "It's done, it happened," Green told BBC. "It's not something you can allow to affect yourself. In the next 50 minutes I felt confident, I felt fine."
After the blunder, Green made a good save to deny USA striker Jozy Altodore.
"I've been in this situation before and it's about holding your head up high, facing you guys, taking the flak which is going to come. That's life."
