体坛英语资讯：Real Madrid coach Pellegrini worried about winning nothing

Real Madrid coach Manuel Pellegrini admitted it would be hard to take should his side fail to win anything at the end of this season.

No side in history has spent as much as Real Madrid last summer. The club shelled out around 300 million dollars to sign players such as Cristiano Ronaldo, Kaka, Xavi Alonso and Karim Benzema.

Nevertheless that failed to stop them losing in the first round of the Kings Cup to third tier side Alcorcon and being knocked out at the first knockout stage of the Champions League by Olympic Lyon.

Now with three games left to play in the BBVA Primera Liga, Pellegrini' s side trails FC Barcelona by one point and needs its rival to slip up to have any chance of winning the title.

"It would be hard for either us or Barcelona to end the season with nothing, but maybe it would be harder for us, as we have missed out on other competitions in the last two years," he said this Tuesday.

Pellegrini was speaking ahead of Wednesday' s crucial visit to Mallorca, who currently lie fourth in the league table with only two home defeats all campaign.

"This match is the most difficult of the three we have left. Mallorca have had a great season as you can see by their position in the table," he said on the club website.

The coach was philosophical about the long season in which his side and Barcelona leads third placed Valencia by 24 points.

"Barcelona and Real Madrid feel the same pressure, but we are both used to it. Both teams need to win out and whoever makes the fewest mistakes will be crowned champion. Both teams deserve to win the league because both have got historic numbers (After 35 matches Barcelona have 90 points and Real Madrid 89). Again, whoever makes the fewest mistakes will win the title and we intend to win all three matches," he concluded.
