体坛英语资讯：Osasco wins Superliga of Brazilian womens volleyball

The Osasco women's volleyball team held the final match of the 2010 Superliga at their home gymnasium on Sunday in Ibirapuera, Sao Paulo, against the team from Rio de Janeiro, Unilever.

Osasco pulled off an electrifying victory, winning by the score of 3-2, ending Unilever's four year hegemony as league champions.

With individual set scores of 25-23, 18-25, 19-25, 25-12 and 15- 12, Osasco pulled off an amazing victory. The win gives the team their fourth league title, having won previously in 2002/2003, 2003/2004 and 2004/2005.

Osasco's head coach, Luizomar de Moura, was thrilled with the win. It was his first finals win against legendary coach Bernardinho.

"Not too many coaches are able to win against Bernardinho. Thanks to the coaching staff, the fans and the incredible play from the girls, today was our day," rejoiced Luizomar.

In the third place match held on Saturday, Sao Caetano beat Pinheiros in three straight sets. Sao Caetano won easily with individual set scores of 25-18, 25-21 and 25-19.

The money raised through ticket sales from the finals of the Superliga will be donated towards the purchase of perishable food for the flood victims of Rio de Janeiro.

More than ten tons of food will be bought.
