Manchester City proved that their big spending of the last transfer window was worthy by beating Arsenal 4-2 at home on Saturday. Manager Mark Hughes's side has won four out of four Premier League matches this season.

However, Man. City should thank the fortunes as Micah Richards'header was deflected in by Arsenal keeper Manuel Almunia in the 20th minutes.

Shaun Wright-Phillips fired home Man City's fourth goal before Czech international Tomas Rosicky scoring an insignificant shot for Arsenal after 88 minutes.
The defending champions Manchester United took a 3-1 victory inthe same day but in a quite different way.
England striker Jermain Defoe gave Tottenham Spurs, who had wontheir previous four matches, a dream start by scoring inside the opening 60 seconds.
But Man. United revealed their real capacity with Ryan Giggs played a key role in the midfield. The 35-year-old curled home a wonderful free-kick in the 25th minutes after Bulgarian Dimitar Berbatov was tripped by Wilson Palacios.
Oliveira Anderson make it 2-1 just before the break, firing in his first United goal in his 76th appearance from the edge of the box.
Spurs launched a powerful counterattack after the break and Man. City suffered for Paul Scholes being sent off for two fouls. At the key moment, striker Wayne Rooney wrapped it up with a solo goal.
French midfielder Florent Malouda scored an injury-time winner as Chelsea battled back from a goal down to beat the hosts Stoke 2-1. The Blues led the standings with full 15 points out of five games.
Israeli Yossi Benayoun completed a hat-trick thrashed Burnley 4-0 at Anfield.
Blackburn claimed a comfortable 3-1 win over promoted Wolves and Sunderland crushed Hull 4-1.
Wigan edged West Ham 1-0 while Portsmouth still await for a point after being overplayed by Bolton 3-2.
