体坛英语资讯：Veteran Gustavo recalled to Brazilian national volleyball team

The 34 year-old veteran of the Brazilian national volleyball team, Gustavo, announced on Wednesday that he will not yet hang up his jersey. The national team's head coach, Bernardinho, invited the player to participate in a series of friendly matches against the United States.

The games will be held in the Brazilian state of Minas Gerais between Sept. 22 and 27. After losing to the United States in the final match of the Beijing Olympics in 2008, Gustavo said that he would no longer participate in any more matches for the national team.

Deciding to take back his words, Gustavo is expected to reunite with the rest of the Brazilian national team on Sept. 14.

The other players that Bernardinho called to participate in the series of friendly matches are: Bruninho, Marlon, Sandro, Leandrao, Joao Paulo, Theo, Giba, Murilo, Thiago Alves, Dante, Mauricio, Lucas, Eder, Gustavo, Sidao, Escadinha and Mario Junior.
