体坛英语资讯：Romulo leaves Figueirense to return to Flamengo

Midfielder Romulo Noronha announced on Tuesday that he is returning to Flamengo after five months of unsuccessful stint with Figueirense. Having suffered from a series of injuries, Romulo found it hard to secure a permanent place at Figueirense.

The 22-year-old was just one of the 38 members of Figueirense. The team is trying to cut down that number in order to create a core crew of members and Romulo became a casualty of the reduction.

Having to compete with eight other players for the same position, he decided that it was best to return to Flamengo in order to continue his career.

Back at Flamengo, the player will have to impress the head coach, Cuca, in order to find a place on the squad. If not, he will be most likely to be loaned to another second division team.
