Nowadays, there are more and moreforeigners come to China for teaching. The majority of Chinese show agreementabout this phenomenon, though there are more or less Chinese stand on theopposite side. Maybe still some people don’t realize the advantage of havingforeign teachers to instruct our English: they help us to improve our oralEnglish, know more about culture and make different friends.

如今，有越来越多的外国人来中国教学。大部分中国人对这一现象表示表示赞同，虽然有或多或少的人是站在对立面的。也许还有些人没有意识到有外籍教师指导我们英语的好处：他们帮助我们提高英语口语，更加了解文化并交到不同的朋友。

First of all, it’s a common thing thatChinese students are good at writing English exam, but can’t talk in dailylife. If we have foreigners to be our English teachers, we have to use Englishto communicate with them. Otherwise, we can’t finish study task. Therefore, inone way, having foreign teachers help us open our mouth to speak, this is thebest way to practice our oral English. In addition, talking face-to-face is themost effective way to correct speaking mistakes and recorrect them.

首先，中国学生擅长写英语考试，却不能在日常生活中对话是常见的事。如果我们有外国人作为我们的英语教师，我们必须要用英语和他们交流。否则，我们完成不了学习任务。因此，一方面，有外国老师帮助我们的口语，这是练习英语口语的最好方法。此外，面对面交谈是发现口语错误并改正的最有效的方法。

Secondly, when talking with our foreignteachers, we easily refer to our own country’s culture and theirs’. In order tomake the conversation continue, we have to do some research to make sure thatwhether we know about own culture is correct and what else we don’t know andalso have to do some preparation about their culture. Moreover, when we talk,we can easily and impressively learn others custom and culture. Thus, in thisway, we are not only having a deep impress on our own country, but also learnoverseas’ culture in a relax way.

其次，与外籍教师交谈时，我们很容易谈到自己国家和他们国家的文化。为了让谈话继续下，我们要做一些研究以确保我们是否正确的了解自己的文化，还有自己不知道的是什么，并做好了解他们文化的准备。此外，在我们聊天的时候，我们可以既容易又印象深刻的了解到别人的文化和习俗。因此，在这种方式中，我们不仅对自己的国家有一个深深的印象，也以一种轻松的方式学习国外文化。

Last but not least, before we have foreignteachers, it’s possible that we just see foreigners on TV, not to speak oftalking with them. So it’s certain that all our friends are Chinese. Manythings are different when we have foreign instructors. They are not only teachersbut also friends of us. During the communication in class or after class, it’seasily for us to make friends with them. Then we are not only having Chinesefriends but also foreign friends.

最后但并非最不重要的是在我们有外籍教师之前，这是有可能的，我们只在电视上看到外国人，更不用说与他们交谈。所以我们所有的朋友肯定都是中国人。有了外教之后很多事情都不一样了。他们不仅是老师也是我们的朋友。在课堂上或是课后的交流中，我们很容易与他们成为朋友。然后之后，我们不仅有中国朋友也有外国朋友了。

General speaking, maybe foreign teacherscan’t help us too much on Chinese university exam, but they can help our spokenEnglish and open our eyes. Being college students, we need is not only having ahigh mark on the exam, but also some skills and abilities that have realeffects after we graduate. Improving spoken English, knowing more culturalthings and making different friends are of great use. So, I think Chineseuniversities hire foreign teachers are absolutely necessary.

总的来说，也许外教在中国大学考试上不能帮助我们太多，但他们可以帮助我们的英语口语，开阔我们的视野。作为大学生，我们需要的是不仅仅是在考试中取得高分数，而且也要有一些在我们毕业后有真正用途的技巧和能力。提高英语口语，了解更多的文化的知识，交不同的朋友是有很大的好处的。所以，我认为我国高校聘请外籍教师是绝对有必要的。
