Pop star Jessica Simpson has made her romance with football star Tony Romo public--after showing up at the Dallas Cowboys' Sunday game wearing a miniature version of his jersey.

Donning a white jersey emblazoned with Romo's No. 9, Simpson cheered on her new love from the stands--but her presence failed to help the quarterback's side to victory, and the Texas team lost 6-10 to the Philadelphia Eagles.

And the backlash from hardcore Cowboys fans appears to have already started--local newspaper the Dallas Morning News claims Romo was verbally attacked as he left the arena, with one female fan shouting, "Worry about the game, not your girlfriend!"
