口语表达中，不可不知的数词知识盘点

在生活中，有关数字的表达，有时候不是1、2、3、4……就能说清的，很多情况下，我们要用到”第一“、”第二“、”第三“……，在英语中，这类数词被叫做”序数词“。常见的有以下几种情景：

1.询问日期：

Q：What's the date today? 今天几号?

A：It's March (the) sixth. 今天3月6日。

2.描述名次

She was the third in the exam. 她那次考试第三名。

3.描述先后次序

He came in first. 他第一个进来。

除了描述日期以外，其他用到序数词的情况都明显包含了”次序“的含义，大家不假思索就知道什么情况下要用到序数词了。

怎么把基数词变成序数词?

1.从1-19，一般情况下(除特殊情况以外)只要在基数词后面加上-th就可以了，读作-[θ]，如下所示：

特殊拼写:

1 one → first 2 two → second 3 three → third 5 five → fifth

8 eight → eighth 9 nine → ninth 12 twelve → twelfth

规则拼写：

2.从20开始，10的整数倍：将词尾y变成ie，再加-th构成

例：30 thirty → thirtieth 50 fifty → fiftieth

70 seventy → seventieth 90 ninety → ninetieth

3.hundred，thousand，million的序数词均在其后加-th构成，即hundredth，thousandth，millionth

序数词念法：把最后一个基数词变成序数词

例：156 one hundred and fity-sixth

1278 one thousand two hundred and seventy-eighth

200 two hundredth
