考生如感觉雅思模考时听力难度较大或很大，或者自我感觉听力水平较差，可考虑购买《ListentoThis》第一册，并利用两个月的时间听
完该书。考生如果感觉模考时听力部分难度适中或较简单，可考虑购买《ListentoThis》第二册，并利用两个月的时间听完该书。与此同时，考生还可以考虑《剑桥雅思考试全真试题解析》2、3、4三本书中任一本，定期检查自己的进步，并不断熟悉雅思的题型。
定期收听英文电台，如BBC，或者VOA。如果考生发现这些电台语速过快，可考虑收听VOASpecialEnglish，或收看CCTV9台的英文节目。考生可将收听英文节目这样的泛听活动与听写或做题这样的精听活动结合起来。
