实例讲解雅思听力单选题做题技巧

　　2013年雅思考试又拉开了序幕，不难发现雅思听力考试中，选择题仍然延续了它们的生命力，选择题为何让众多学生败在它的脚下呢?我们可有方法来战胜它呢?

　　选择题，我们中国学生从小做到大的一种题型，凡是英语听力考试，绝对离不开选择，雅思也是如此。但是为什么很多烤鸭们都惧怕它呢?因为雅思听力中的选择题挖了很多陷阱，你一不小心就跳了进去。所以，今天我们一起来探讨一下雅思听力有何做题技巧。

　　首先我们一起来看几道题:，

　　例题1：C7T2S3

　　22. One role of the Antarctic Centre is to

　　A. provide expeditions with suitable equipment.

　　B. provide researchers with financial assistance.

　　C. ensure that research is internationally relevant.

　　此题出自于雅思听力的Section3，有些词汇基础较薄弱的学生这下犯愁了，题干中就出现了不认识的单词，如Antarctic。但是，我们之前说过，凡是听力中遇到不会的单词就去积极地猜发音，更何况这里给出了大写，明显用Antarctic Centre来定位就可以啦。继续看选项，如果眼力比较好的同学不难发现，三个选项中有两个选项的结构是相似的，都使用了providewith这个短语，那说明什么呢?这里我们可以把A，B两个选项称为同类项，因为它们形式上很相似，也就是说，形相似的两个选项可以构成同类项。听力原文是这样说的

　　Were able to provide information about what scientists should take with them to the South Pole -- for example, the centre contains a clothing warehouse where expeditions are supplied with suitable clothing for the extreme conditions.不难听出，what scientists should take with them还有suitable clothing与原文中的equipment进行同意替换，而expeditions直接说出。反之用排除法来思考原文也丝毫没有提及financial assistance，而选项C压根没有提及，因此答案选A。这样我们不禁会想，是不是这里存在什么规律呢?下面我们用另一道题再来印证一下你的想法。

　　18. Students wishing to live off-campus should apply

　　A. several months in advance.

　　B. two or three weeks in advance.

　　C. at the beginning of term.

　　看完题干我们不难发现定位点用live off-campus，而三个选项中的A和B又有形相似啊，共同用了in advance这个短语，只不过提前的时间不一样，A是several months, B是two or three weeks.那么答案又是什么呢?听力原文是这样说的If youre planning to live off-campus, youve got to sort things out even earlier. As with everything in short supply, the good accommodation gets snapped up months before the beginning of termin other words if youre starting in October you need to be thinking about it in June or at the very latest July.首先我们不难听出months before the beginning of the term, 然后原文当中出现了信号词in other words, 好人啊，继续把前面的答案解释一下，如果你10月开始，你最好在6月或者最迟7月底就要想好，不难听出答案是要months in advance，选A。这时，我们是不是可以发现一个规律，如果你发现选项当中，其中有两个选项是形相似的，也就是使用了一些相同的结构，这个时候答案就是这两个选项之一，一下子把三选一变成了二选一。顺便提一下，原文中 get snapped up在这里解释为抢购，争购，好的房子在学期前的几个月就抢购一空了。
