剧情简介：

斯蒂芬（盖尔·加西亚·伯纳尔）是个颇具创作能力的年轻小子。虽然，在自己的事业中称不上有何成就，但是他一个人的“创作”生活却过得还算有滋有味。尤其是他那颗充满想像力的大脑总能为自己略显平凡的生活带来不少新意。一次偶然的相会中，他结识了新来的女邻居斯蒂芬妮（夏洛特·甘斯伯格），一个同样很有创造性的清纯女孩。互有好感的二人从此交往逐渐频繁起来，且开始了一段颇为奇异的爱恋。只要他一躺在他那张舒适的床上，就会很快进入他那神秘的大脑所营造的梦境中，而且在各种奇异的梦境中，他与斯蒂芬妮的恋情依然在继续……
