　　The impact of the internet on interpersonal communication 　　The past few decades have witnessed a phenomenal advancement in Internet technology, leading our traditional means of communication into a brand new era: E-communication. It has great impact upon our life. 　　To begin with, Internet communication enables people to break though the limitations of distance, strengthening social network. 　　Moreover，unlike post offices, Internet service with its convenience helps people engage and converse real time with their parents, soul mates, friends though emails, IRC, Twitter, Facebook anytime, anywhere with a network terminal, without suffering the long and painful wait for a reply. 　　In addition to that, Internet exchange excels telephone in that it saves money and lets people see each others facial expressions when video chatting. 　　Last, such online communities as Twitter, Facebook are well under way and becoming the most dominating platforms for on-line social activities. These communities offer opportunities for us to make friends with those we like and even those celebrities. It is also a platform for us to share and obtain information and keep up with on newest information and knowledge. 　　Internet today is virtual space where we live, where we learn, where we speak, and where we communicate.
