　　In modern society, especially in entertainment industry, lots of widely-spread information is actually rumors. When facing rumors, many people are very annoyed and they defend themselves by explaining. They think it is necessary to clarify to the public so the rumors can be stopped. On the contrary, some are patient and they overcome rumors by keeping silent.

　　In my view, keeping silent is a smarter solution. First, even if you explain clearly, others will think you are just covering things up. If you can not present any convincing evidence, people will believe more in the rumors. Second, when you keep silent, you are not admitting the rumors and you are in fact telling people that it is not related to you. As time goes on, facts will eventually scotch these rumors. Therefore, to dispel rumors, it is better to keep silent.

　　Therefore, I believe that silence speaks louder than words.

　　In my opinion, the rumors should be treated with a right attitude. We must take its truth or falsehood into account when there are rumors in the society. If there are some rumors about us, we must stand up bravely to give a statement to the people around us，because rumors would changes its content by word of mouth.
