　　Many people fail to be punctual. Whether it is for class or for work, for appointments with friends or for job interviews, punctuality seems to be a somewhat unnecessary luxury for many people.

　　许多人不守时，不管是在工作还是在上课，不管是与朋友聚会还是面试，守时对某些人来说是不必要的奢侈品。

　　There are a number of disadvantages to being constantly late. First, those who are habitually late often miss out on important information, such as announcements at the beginning of class or the quick office meeting at the beginning of the work day. Second, consistently unpunctual people develop a reputation for laziness; together with may come a reputation for not caring for friends; if you truly are my friend, someone might wonder, why are you always late when we set up a date? Don t you care about me?

　　不守时会有许多坏处。第一那些习惯性晚的人会错过许多重要信息，例如上课开始前的公告或者快速办公会议开始一天的工作。第二不守时的人给别人一种懒惰的信誉。不守时也被认为不关心朋友，一些人会猜想，如果你真是我的朋友，为什么总是比我们约定的时间要晚?难道你从没有考虑过我?

　　In older to be punctual, we should make some lifestyle changes to help us be on time. We should get to bed on time so we can be rested enough to get up on time. We should allow enough travel time to be at least 15 minutes early to every appointment. And if we truly cannot avoid being late, we should call ahead to let the waiting person know.

　　为了一直守时我们应该改变一些生活方式来让我们准时。我们应该准时睡觉这样我们可以有足够的休息开按时起床。我们应该允许盈余最少15分钟对每一个约会。但如果我们真的不能避免迟到，我们应该事先让等着的人知道。
