　　It is not until recent years that Internet composes an indispensable part of our modern way of living. Many children soon acquaint themselves with this high technology and it appears that they are encouraged by their parents to use Internet as early as possible.

　　Today, it s not surprising to catch sight of a four-or-five-year-old child surfing online. Divided opinions have been formed in light of children s using Internet at increasingly younger ages. On the one hand, some people take it for granted that children should be equipped with the knowledge of Internet in that it serves as a crucial tool for learning, working or even living in the future. In addition, they maintain that the earlier children start to use Internet, the better experts they will become. On the other hand, others who hold different views argue that for children Internet is Pandora s Box. Premature exposure is harmful, not only physically but also intellectually.

　　Weighing up the two viewpoints above, I m inclined to agree with the latter one. At their age, children are supposed to enjoy outdoor activities instead of clinging to the computer screen. Besides, children are very likely to be addicted to Internet, which will affect their healthy growth. In a word, despite its usefulness, it s not advisable for children to use Internet at an early age.
