　　On Piracy

　　Recently, piracy has become a hot topic under discussion. There are many pirated goods in our market, such pirated videos, software，and tapes, which may bring great profits to the merchants and at the same time save some money for the buyers in the short term. However, negative effects have been clearly seen on the development ofthe industry involved.

　　最近，盗版成为讨论的热门话题。市场上有许多盗版商品，例如盗版光盘、软件和磁带，这些可能给商家带来很大利润，同时，短期内也为购买者节省了一些钱。然而，已经在相关行业的发展中清晰地看到了它的负面影响。

　　Many reasons may account for the widespread piracy in China. The main reason is that pirates may get enormous profits through their illegal activities, which is to some extent a theft of others labor. Next，the pirated goods have a huge potential market. Where there is demand, there is sure to have suppliers. At last, we still lack a perfect supervising system. As a result, few effective methods could be found to cope with the problem.

　　盗版在中国的盛行有许多原因。主要是因为盗版者可以通过他们的非法行为获得巨额利润，这种非法行为某种程度上是对他人劳动的剩窃。其次，盗版商品有巨大的潜在市场。有需求的地方，自然就会有供应者。再者，我们仍旧缺乏完善的监督机制。因此，几乎找不到有效的方法可以处理这一问题。

　　In my opinion, piracy will exist for a long time in China. For one thing, most common people still want to buy cheap pirated products. For another, few effective measures have been found to prevent piracy by now. We still need to make efforts to deal with piracy as it did hinder the development of our industry and has caused many conflicts between China and other nations.

　　依我看来，盗版在中国还会存在很长时间。首先，大部分普通人仍然想要买

　　便宜的盗版产品。其次，迄今为止几乎找不到有效的措施来预防盗版。在对付盗版上，我们仍需努力，因为它确实妨碍了我们行业的发展，并引发了中国和其他国家的许多冲突。

　　Where there is demand, there is sure to have suppliers. 有需求的地方，自然就会有供应者。

　　点评：这句话套用了一个习语的结构 Where there is a will, there is a way.(有志者事竞成) ，在四级写作中能准确套用类似的结构，不仅能使文章生动活泼，而且也是一个得高分的亮点。
