介绍是否应该恢复使用繁体字

　　With the increasing exchanges between the mainland and Taiwan or Hong Kong, a problem has attracted people s attention: different Chinese characters used in different parts seem to stand in the way of the exchanges. So some people propose to resume the traditional Chinese characters. Besides, they say, learning traditional characters helps people know better about our traditional culture.

　　Others, however, oppose the proposal. Firstly, they argue that traditional Chinese characters are much more complicated than the simplified ones. If we bring back the traditional ones, it will add to the difficulty of both writing and reading. Secondly, for foreigners, simplified characters are much easier to learn, which may help popularize Chinese culture.

　　Personally speaking, I don t see anything wise in the restoring of the traditional Chinese characters. It is obvious that bringing them back will cost a lot of time and energy, because nearly all the mainlanders will have to start form the scratch. In addition, foreign exchange will be affected with foreigners frightened away by the complicated characters.
