　　1. convey v. 传达

　　A vibrating membrane in the ear helps to convey sounds to the brain.

　　2. collapse v. 坍塌

　　The roof collapsed under the weight of snow.

　　3.crude a. 未加工的

　　动作的结果

　　detect: 正式用词，强调经过周密观察或研究而有所获得和发现，尤指发现有意隐藏之

　　ascertain: 较正式用词，指有意搜寻与发现

　　9. descend v. 下降

　　词义辨析：descend, drop, fall, sink

　　descend: 通常指沿斜线或斜坡下降

　　drop: 指物体从一定高度落下

　　fall: 与drop 同义，指突然或猛烈地降落，但fall 也可指任何下落，同高度或形式无关

　　sink: 指在空气或水中垂直下降、下沉
