　　1. live apart 分开住

　　e.g. The butterfly and the milkweed , although competitors in a way , cannot live apart .

　　2. apart from除了

　　apart from有两种含义:

　　=besides 除...之外

　　e. g. Apart from sport, my other interest is music. 除了运动,我的另一个兴趣是听音乐.

　　=except for 如果没有

　　e.g. Apart from that, all goes well. 除了那一点,一切都正常

　　3. make/offer an apology to sb for sth. 因某事向某人认错或道歉
