　　敲击键盘的声音也许是现代社会的一种白色噪音，但其实，他们所透露出的信息比疏忽的打字者意识到的要更多。通过简单分析击键声音的录音，计算机专家们现在就能够准确无误的解析出一篇通过键盘输入的文字的脚本，甚至包括输入的密码。以其他计算机比起来，这个过程简单很多，仅仅需要一个便宜的麦克风和一台电脑。

　　【参考译文】Clattering keyboards may seem the white noise of the modern age, but they betray more information than unwary typists realize. Simply by analyzing audio recordings of keyboard clatter, computer scientists can now reconstruct an accurate transcript of what was typedincluding passwords. And in contrast with many types of computer espionage, the process is simple, requiring only a cheap microphone and a desktop computer.

　　不可否认，几乎没有哪项科学发明对我们的生活产生的影响比得上电视的发明和改进给我们带来的好处。它是一种电子视听媒体，是大量信息的重要来源，让我们不出家门就可以看到各种各样关于比赛、音乐会以及发生在世界各地的事件的现场报道;人们还可以看到大量花样百出的特别节目。例如：世界风景、风俗和文化、神奇海底和庞大宇宙的壮观景象等。所有这一切都在最大程度上丰富了我们的生活和知识。

　　【参考译文】Admittedly, there is rarely any other technological invention having such a great　impact on our life as the invention and revolution of television. It is a kind of electric　audiovisual media a source of abundant information, which gives people easy access to　various live reports about games, concerts, and affairs occurring all over the world, as well as　a vast variety of special programs, such as programs about worldwide scenery, custom and　culture, the spectacular sight in mysterious seafloor and colossal cosmos, etc. All of them　enrich our life and broaden our knowledge to a significant degree.
