高二英语语法惯用法：英语可说hope sb to do sth吗

　　汉语可说希望某人做某事，但英语习惯上不能说 hope sb to do sth，要表示类似意思，通常后接 that从句。如：

　　■史密斯先生希望他所有的学生都能考上大学。

　　误：Mr Smith hopes all of his students to pass the college entrance examinations.

　　正：Mr Smith hopes that all of his students can pass thecollege entrance examinations.

　　另外，有时用 hope for sb to do sth 这样的形式，即 hope for 后接不定式的复合结构。如：

　　I hope for him to arrive in time. 我希望他及时赶到。

　　注意：英语虽然不能说hope sb to do sth，但是可说wish sb to do sth。如：

　　I wish him to remain. 我希望他留下。

　　I wish you to be happy. 我祝你幸福。
