　　汉语可说害怕某人做某事，但英语习惯上不说 fear sb to do sth。如：

　　■我怕他会拒绝我们。

　　误：I fear him to refuse us.

　　正：I fear that he will refuse us.

　　■我怕她一个人去。

　　误：I fear her to go alone.

　　正：I fear that she will go alone.

　　■我怕你们挨饿。

　　误：I fear you to go hungry.

　　正：I fear that you will go hungry.
