　　Most countries produce a few famous writers.大多数国家都会有几位著名的作家。

　　Which writers can you think of from your country?你能说出几位自己国家的作家呢?

　　How many writers do you know from other countries?其他国家的作家，你知道几位呢?

　　How many are 20th century writers?有多少是二十世纪的作家呢?

　　Perhaps we know the old writers best.也许我们对老一辈作家比较了解。

　　In China, everyone has heard of Shakespeare.在中国，人人都听说过莎士比亚。

　　He was an Englishman, but he died in 1616.他是英国人，卒于1616年。
