SAT阅读备考的内容非常多，尤其是考试之前储备大量的知识。但是为了更好的应对SAT阅读考试，大家需要在考SAT阅读考试的时候，更加精确的掌握答题的时间分配，以便更加合理的应用自己的储备知识来解题。
SAT阅读Critical Reading部分共67道题目，包括19道完成句子和48道文章阅读。
SAT文章阅读中，共包含3篇独立长文章、1组长对比文章、2篇独立短文章和1组对比短文章，共5篇独立文章和两组对比文章。
文章所涉及的领域有：社会科学、人文、自然科学或小说。短文章每篇大约100词左右，每篇文章会出2道题目。长文章或文章组每篇总词数介于400到800之间
SAT阅读考试的时间分配
25分钟区：5道SC+短文章+两篇长文章
25分钟区：8道SC+短文章+一篇长文章
20分钟区：6道SC+一篇长文章
根据上面的时间分配，SAT阅读考试的时间是十分紧迫的。
在70分钟内，除了要完成19道句子填空题外，还要完成7篇文章的阅读，然后再完成48道阅读理解试题，而许多阅读试题，为了确定正确答案，还必须要经常回到原文里去寻找答案线索，而这一切都是要在短短的70分钟内完成，可以说，实在是有点强人所难了。
