　　Mode

　　The mode of a set of numbers is the number that repeats the most in the set.

　　Example:

　　Mode of the set {1,2,3,2,4,5} is 2.

　　The set of numbers {1,2,4,1,2,3,6,8}has two modes:1 and 2.

　　Remember:

　　There can be more than one number with the highest repeat count. In that case all of them with the highest repeat count are modes.

　　Dividing Polynomial by Monomial

　　To divide a polynomial by a monomial, use distributive law to separate the numerator and reduce each term.

　　Example:

　　If we divide by 2x, we get /=4x2/-6x/=2x-3.

　　Remember:

　　Do not forget to divide all the terms.

　　If the denominator is a higher order polynimial, do not distribute the denominator.

　　The sum of n-numbers of an arithmetic progression is given by

　　S=nxdn/2

　　where x is the first number and d is the constant increment.

　　example:

　　sum of first 10 positive odd numbers:101+2109/2=10+90=100

　　sum of first 10 multiples of 7 starting at 7: 107+7109/2=70+315=385

　　remember:

　　For a descending AP the constant difference is negative.

　　A sequence is a set of numbers that follow a fixed pattern.The fixed pattern can be expressed by an equation or by a property.

　　Example:

　　A set of consecutive integers: 1,2,3,4,5

　　A set of consecutive even numbers:4,6,8,10,12

　　A set of consecutive prime: 2,3,5,7,11

　　A set of consecutive power of 2:4,8,16,32,64

　　Remember:

　　A sequence can be in ascending or desceding order.
