2013年全国职称英语考试词汇的特点

职称英语词汇大纲不分专业类别，即参加综合类，理工类， 卫生类的考生所使用的词汇复习大纲均相同， 因此在职称英语词汇大纲上出现的词汇绝大部分为大众化词汇， 专业词汇出现的极少。
综合类的考题中不涉及专业文章， 所以综合类的考生在复习中不需要额外记忆专业词汇，只需要参照词汇大纲进行词汇学习，以日常英语中的普通词汇作为复习范围就可以了。
词汇大纲中对A级， B级， C级考生需要掌握的具体词汇都进行了明确的标注， 根据词汇大纲要求， C级考生需要掌握的词汇总量为4000词左右; B级考生需要掌握的词汇总量为5000词左右，词汇大纲上B级难度的词汇前都加注了 A级考生需要掌握的总词汇量为6000词左右， 词汇大纲上属于A级难度的词汇前都加注了+。
虽然职称英语等级考试对各个级别的考生都做出了明确的词汇量要求，但实际上从历年来考题的出题情况来看，无论是语言难度要求最高的A级考试， 还是语言难度要求最低的C级考试，考卷中出现的绝大部分单词都是英语中的常见词汇，这部分的单词根据历年考题统计出来大致有2000个左右。这2000个左右的职称英语核心词汇中还有一部分属于英语中特别基本的词汇，这些词汇甚至在同一套试卷中出现多次重复出现的情况，所以在复习中考试可以首先掌握好2000个左右的职称英语核心词汇，然后在精力有余的情况下，再进一步拓展边缘词汇。
从历年考试出题的情况来看， 考试主要借助词汇选项题对词汇大纲上加注的B级词汇，加注+的A级词汇进行考察。 B级考题中的文章中涉及到的B级词汇， A级考题中涉及到的A级词汇并不多，而考题中实际涉及到的B级，A级词汇也大部分 词义较常见， 在阅读中出现频率较高的高频词， 词义生僻的B级词汇， A级词汇在考试中出现的频率较低。
如果考卷中出现了超纲词，这些超纲词通常都会有中文词义的注释，尤其涉及文章主题的超纲词，或会影响文章后面某个问题解答的超纲词更会给出中文注释。
