相似词语辨析【66】entrance的两种不同意思

　　Entrance这个词有两个读法，念/entr+ms/时，作入口处解，也可指进入的动作，主要是个名词；念/intra: ns/时，作使着迷、使狂喜解，主要是个动词，二者截然不同。

　　下面请看entrance/entr+ns/例句：

　　We queue up at the entrance for the exhibition．

　　我们在入口处排队参观展览。

　　After queuing up for three hours，we at last gained entrance to the exhibition．

　　排队排了三小时，我们终于能够进入展览会。

　　Entrance/entr+ns/也可以作定语形容词，指入场权、进入权，如：

　　Competition for education is so keen that even small children have to sit for kindergarten entrance examinations．

　　争取教育机会十分激烈，以致小孩子也要参加幼稚园入学试才能入学。

　　Only a nominal entrance fee is required to be a club member．

　　只需缴交象征式的入会费就可以成为会员。
