According to the Smh.com.au on November 26, a Sydney man known as the "Fully sick rapper" wants to set a new world record for the longest rap。
Although it is unlikely to be recorded as an official record, Christian van Vuuren, 28, said that it would give him "street cred" among his fans if he achieved it。
Van Vuuren became an internet sensation after posting videos of himself at a Sydney Hospital rapping on video-sharing website YouTube。
Before being struck down with tuberculosis in December last year, van Vuuren did not have a Facebook profile nor a Twitter account and had barely used YouTube。
He was in hospital for six months but is now out。
His most popular music video, Life in Quarantine, has amassed more than 790,000 hits on his YouTube channel. More than 27,000 people have signed up to be van Vuuren's fans on Facebook, while close to 4,000 follow him on Twitter。
His attempt is to beat the current record, which he said was nine hours and 14 minutes。
