致力于环境问题研究的“德国观察”组织8日公布2016“气候变化表现指数”报告，对全球58个主要碳排放经济体在控制气候变化方面所做努力进行评估和排名。

根据在巴黎气候大会上发布的“气候变化表现指数”报告显示，澳大利亚在58个国家中排名倒数第三，仅超过了哈萨克斯坦和沙特阿拉伯。
“气候变化表现指数”（Climate Change Performance Index，CCPI）是致力于环境问题研究的“德国观察”（Germanwatch）组织负责编纂，环保组织“欧洲气候行动网络” （Climate Action Network Europe，CAN）提供协助，对全球58个主要碳排放经济体在控制气候变化方面所做努力进行评估和排名，
气候变化表现指数将具体评估人均碳排放水平（emission levels per capita）、国家使用可再生能源（renewable energy）的情况以及气候变化政策（climate change policies）等。
今年排名中，前三位依旧留空，以表明“没有任何一个国家或地区在控制气候变化方面已经做出足够努力”（no country is doing enough to prevent dangerous climate change）。丹麦第五次领跑年度指数榜，位列第四。
在综合排名中，中国排在第47位，比前一年前进3位。报告说，就“碳排放趋势”（the trend in emissions projections）指标而言，中国显现积极迹象。在“气候变化相关政策”指标的评估中，中国获评“较好”。报告在开篇部分援引美国能源经济和金融分析研究所最近一项研究成果说，中国的多项改变“正在推动国际市场结构性转变”。
