Wealthy Chinese are showing growing interest inislands in recent years.

There are at least 600 island owners in China, LinDong, founder of the China Island OwnersAssociation, estimates.

Most of these islands were owned by corporations planning tourism, but also by individuals whobuilt private clubhouses to entertain friends.
