【迷你小对话1】

A: Have you noticed how Diane always gets the teacher to talk about her weekend so that we get to listen to stories instead of having to study math?
B: Yes. It’s pretty cunning trick; she is playing to be so interested in her life.

A: 注意到没？Diane总有本领让老师谈论她的周末生活，这么一来我们就有故事听，而不用上数学课了。
B: 听说了，她这招真鬼；她总装出对老师的生活十分感兴趣的样子。

A: This restaurant attracted a lot of customers by claiming that their food had 0 calories!
B: But that is a fraudulent claim! All food has calories!

A: 这家餐馆声称食物中不含卡路里，因此吸引了很多肥胖的顾客。
B: 但这种说法不是存心骗人的嘛！所有食物都含卡路里啊！

【语言点精讲】

cunning: 骗术高超的；狡诈的；诡诈的。
trick: 诡计，计谋；花招。
play: 在对话1中指假装、装样子，相当于pretend.
obese: （不健康的）过胖的。
fraudulent: 欺骗性的；欺骗行为或欺诈的。
