RIO DE JANEIRO, Sept. 7 -- Santos' 18-year-old promising star Felipe Anderson scored the game-winning goal to help the team came from behind to beat Avai 2-1 at home in the 22nd round of the 2011 Brazilian Championship Wednesday.
Avai slugged through the field to score the game's only goal in the first half by a penalty in the 33rd minute.
Santos responded by scoring the equalizer in the 70th minute when Felipe Anderson rolled off a great assist to a wide-open Borges. Borges dribbled past his defender and the goalie and tapped the ball into the open goal.
Anderson, who entered the match in the 60th minute, gave his team the lead in the 76th minute when he invaded the goalie box from the lower right side of the field and blasted the ball into the upper right corner of the Avai goal.
The win provisionally improves Santos to the 13th place with 26 points. The team will receive Cruzeiro on September 10.
Avai remains in 18th place with 20 points and they will travel to face America-MG on September 10.
