MOSCOW, Aug. 23 -- Russian soccer club Anzhi Makhachkala confirmed on Tuesday that they have reached agreement with Inter Milan for the transfer of Cameroon's soccer star Samuel Eto'o.
"Today Anzhi and Inter reached agreement on the transfer of Samuel Eto'o," said Anzhi in a statement in the official website. "The transfer sum suited both sides." But they didn't give any financial details.
The four-time African Player of the Year will undergo a medical on Wednesday and then sign a three-year contract before starting training with the squad on Thursday.
Press reports said earlier that Anzhi will pay Inter 25 million euros (about 36 million US dollars) plus performance-related bonuses for the Cameroon skipper.
It is also believed that Eto'o will receive around 20.5 million euros (about 29.6 million US dollars) a year in wages, making him the world's best-paid footballer.
The 30-year-old is the most decorated player in African history, having won the Champions League three times -- twice with Barcelona and once with Inter.
