BEIJING, July 17 -- The National Intellectual Property Administration (NIPA) on Friday announced the winners of the 21st China Patent Award, the nation's top award for patents.
A total of 30 patents for invention, utility models, and 10 patents for design won the gold awards. More than 70 patents won the silver awards.
The China Patent Award has been co-organized by the NIPA and the World Intellectual Property Organization since 1989.
This year's competition received a record-breaking number of more than 2,400 patent entrants, who were recommended by national and local intellectual property departments, industry associations, and academicians from the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Chinese Academy of Engineering.
