穿黄裙子的白燕
White swallow in yellow skirt
昨天，大姐送来了两只白燕，还教我怎么放水、喂食。今天早上刚起床，我就跑到阳台上观察它们，准备给它们起个好听的名字。我想了又想，给它们起好了名字：一只叫“吉吉”，一只叫“祥祥”，合起来就是“吉祥”了。我一有空就给它们加水、放食。它们吃谷子的样子可真好玩，尖尖的小嘴一啄一啄的。我不明白，它们是黄色的，为什么叫白燕，不叫黄燕呢？它们的样子很漂亮，一身黄色的羽毛就像穿着黄裙子，真可爱！
Yesterday, my elder sister sent two white swallows and taught me how to drain and feed them. As soon as I got up this morning, I ran to the balcony to observe them and prepared to give them a nice name. I thought about it and thought about it, and gave them a good name: one is "Jiji", the other is "Xiangxiang", which means "auspicious". I'll add water and feed them as soon as I have time. It's funny how they eat millet. They peck at each other with their sharp little mouths. I don't understand. They are yellow. Why are they called white swallow, not yellow swallow? They look very beautiful, a yellow feather like wearing a yellow skirt, so cute!
