BEIJING, April 18 -- The Chinese mainland faces growing pressure from domestically transmitted COVID-19 cases as it reported 10 new such confirmed cases on Friday, the fourth consecutive day of double-digit growth, a health official said Saturday.
Resolute measures should be put in place for early diagnosis, early quarantine and early treatment, said Mi Feng, spokesperson for the National Health Commission, at a press conference.
Cluster infections should be handled in a timely manner to prevent the disease from spreading further, Mi added.
