ABUJA, April 16 -- Nigeria's number of COVID-19 cases rose to 442 with 35 new cases confirmed, the Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) said Thursday.
One new COVID-19 death was reported late Thursday in Nigeria, taking the national tally to 13, according to health authorities.
Some 152 cases have been discharged so far, the NCDC said in a statement.
Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari late Monday extended the COVID-19 lockdown for two more weeks in Abuja, Lagos, and Ogun, saying the decision was right to curb the spread of the disease through community transmission.
