WUHAN, Feb. 14 -- Chinese Vice Premier Sun Chunlan on Friday urged Hubei Province and its capital city of Wuhan to launch "an all-round attack" with greater confidence and tenacity and more decisive measures to win the battle against the novel coronavirus outbreak.
Sun, who is also a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, is leading a central government team guiding the epidemic control work in Hubei.
With the strong leadership of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council and the great efforts of the people and officials in Hubei, some positive changes have taken place in the epidemic prevention and control, but the situation remains grim, said Sun.
Noting Hubei and Wuhan as the key of the epidemic control fight, Sun said, "When Wuhan wins, Hubei wins. When Hubei wins, China wins."
Sun made the remarks while visiting the office in charge of epidemic prevention and control work in Hubei.
Authorities in Hubei and Wuhan promised to further raise the hospital admission capacity to leave no one unattended and improve treatment for patients.
