BEIJING, Dec. 24 -- China's ninth Mother River Award, a prominent honor recognizing contributions to ecological conservation among youth and children, was granted to 90 model individuals, groups and programs on Tuesday in Beijing.
The winners' list was made public at a launching ceremony held by the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League for a series of environmental conservation projects.
The first batch of projects in the series was also initiated at the launching ceremony, covering areas such as energy, finance and communication.
The project series will focus on multiple themes, including mother river protection and garbage sorting, and is aimed at leading young Chinese to make contributions to building a beautiful China.
A charitable crowdfunding platform, as well as the first group of ecological public welfare products, was also made public at the ceremony.
