AMMAN, Dec. 15 -- Chinese solutions provide frameworks that will help the Middle East achieve security and stability, said Jawad Anani, Jordan's former deputy prime minister and minister of industry and trade, in a recent interview with Xinhua.
"The Chinese government now is having a new look at the Middle East where it is strategically important to consider security and peace," said Anani after attending the Middle East Security Forum hosted by China in Beijing on Nov. 27 and 28.
Hailing China's proposal that pursues common, comprehensive, cooperative and sustainable security in the Middle East, he highlighted large room for more cooperation with China in the region facing several security issues.
The Arab states face common challenges, such as the urgent need to create enough jobs for young people, Anani noted.
Around 70 percent of the population in the Arab world will be young people by 2030, while China, as a leading economy, can provide plenty of job opportunities that will contribute to the security and stability in the Middle East, said the former Jordanian official.
